- “VENICE FLORIDA'S BEST !!!!” Reviewed March 19, 2014 NEW Last Saturday night, five of us were first time visitors to this charming bistro. After the dinners we had, we promised each other we would definitely return. Two of our party ordered the filet mignon, which they pronounced as the tenderest they had ever tasted. Seafood was the choice of the other three. Scallops were huge, flavorful and not overcooked. The salmon, covered with a delicious crispy potato crust and smooth lemon sauce,was delicious. The crab and lobster cake entree, filled with this delicious seafood blend (and without the usual breadcrumbs most places feature), was moist and flavorful. All dishes were accompanied by appropriate vegetables. Lest we forget, one of us had the Oysters Rockefeller appetizer, which had earned a medal for the chef and owner. Kudos to our server Tracey, who was most gracious and accommodating and who even brought out the owner-chef Alan to meet us and receive our congratulations for the delightful dinner.
