Opened by Chef Alan Laskowski, the Blu' Island Bistro offers American cuisine, private parties and catering. Laskowski makes all dishes in house and offers daily specials and house desserts.
Laskowski is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and has owned and operated restaurants for 28 years. He won “Best of Philadelphia” for several of his dishes in a restaurant he owned in Philadelphia. He was the owner/chef at the Kingfish Cafe in Venice for seven years and now is back in the same location.
The space has been renovated with the help of his sister/artist, Dawn Surak, and reflects a “beach-sleek-local,” comfortable style.
Blu is open for breakfast and lunch seven days a week from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
